School is out, summer is here and it is travel season! As retirees we can travel any time and to give us travel tips at our June meeting will be Crystal Beasley from AAA. She will do a packing demonstration and will also give security tips, currency advice and useful information whether you are traveling in or outside the USA. in addition, she will give info on the “singles” program that AAA is initiating!

CMGRA Daytrip: We have six remaining seats to go on our August 8th daytrip. We will leave Sugar creek Presbyterian at 10:00 am and head for a tour of the Childress Winery at Lexington. After leaving, we will head for our 1:00 pm seating at the Barn dinner Theater in Greensboro, NC. we will eat a buffet meal and then enjoy the performance of “Nunsense”. Transportation, lunch, play and all gratuities are included for $74.00 per person. You may send your payment in prior to the meeting or provide it by the deadline date of June 27th-our June meeting friends and family are welcome in addition to members. Let’s fill that bus!

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Governmental Retirees’ Association (CMGRA) meets bi-monthly to promote continued relationships with friends and coworkers and to provide fellowship with fellow retirees. We meet the 4th Tuesday of February, April, June, August, and October at 9:30 a.m. at Sugaw Creek Presbyterian Church located at 101 Sugar Creek Rd. W. Charlotte, NC 28213 and in December for a holiday luncheon.
