Charlotte-Mecklenburg Governmental Retirees Association
August 8 Day Trip
Bimonthly Meeting – August 22nd
The CMGRA will take a day trip via Christian Tours on August 8th, 2017. We will head for a private tour at Childress Winery and then head on to the Barn Dinner Theater in Greensboro. We will enjoy a buffet lunch followed by the presentation of “Nunsense”.
We will welcome Taylor Piephoff, birding columnist for The Charlotte Observer, to our August 22nd general meeting. He has been birding in Mecklenburg County since the early 1970s, earning the title, “The Bird Man of Mecklenburg County”. He is a past board member of the Mecklenburg Audubon Society and a past president of the Carolina Bird Club.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Governmental Retirees’ Association (CMGRA) meets bi-monthly to promote continued relationships with friends and coworkers and to provide fellowship with fellow retirees. We meet the 4th Tuesday of February, April, June, August, and October at 9:30 a.m. at Sugaw Creek Presbyterian Church located at 101 Sugar Creek Rd. W. Charlotte, NC 28213 and in December for a holiday luncheon.
