The insurance premiums and membership dues will be deducted each month from your retirement check. The first insurance premium will be deducted from your December retirement check on December 20, 2017, and your insurance coverage will be effective on January 1, 2018.  Your insurance identification card(s) will be mailed prior to the effective date of your coverage.  Your coverage will apply to services incurred on and after January 1, 2018.

To be eligible for our insurance plans, you must be a dues-paying member of NCRGEA.  If you are a current dues-paying member, we will begin the dues deduction the month prior to your next renewal date.  If you have not joined NCRGEA as a dues paying member, you will need to complete the membership enrollment card. (Click here to download an NCRGEA membership application.)   Membership dues are based on total monthly Social Security and Retirement Income (see membership enrollment card for the dues scale).

To enroll in either (or both) of these insurance plans, complete the appropriate enrollment form(s) and return to NCRGEA, PO Box 10561, Raleigh NC 27605, no later than October 31, 2017.

If you are currently enrolled in another dental or vision plan and want to change and enroll in MetLife Dental or Superior Vision, you are responsible for contacting your current provider to cancel that insurance coverage.  (NCRGEA cannot cancel any current insurance coverage you have.)
