NCRGEA Announces a New Optional Benefit for Members – Final Expense Insurance
NCRGEA has partnered with Walker Insurance Agency, Inc. of Roxboro, one of the oldest Independent Insurance Agencies in North Carolina, to offer our members final expense insurance. The application process will be handled by Walker Insurance Agency and NCRGEA will provide contact information for members. We are conducting a “soft-roll-out” during our Fall District meetings in western North Carolina to help us better prepare to roll-out this new optional benefit to all of our members. We will feature more information and contact information in future newsletters and on our NCRGEA website. Each policy will be individually underwritten; therefore rate information will be available only through the Walker Insurance Agency.
Final Expense Insurance is typically used to cover burial expenses and funeral services when the named insured passes away. Final expense insurance can provide a safety net for a family to cover many things associated with debt during such a difficult time. A financial burden can be medical bills, funeral and burial costs, or many other living expenses.
For a number of years, NCRGEA has researched and met with a number of companies to identify final expense product(s) and an agency that is a good fit for our members’ needs. Walker Insurance Agency Inc. was selected due to its vast network of providers who can best provide for the needs of our members. The companies to be used are: Erie Insurance, Settlers Life, Gerber Life, and American General Life.
Understanding the potential cost of a funeral will better prepare you and your family financially. Funeral expenses could be an enormous burden on a family. However, purchasing an affordable final expense insurance policy will give comfort to families knowing that the costs are covered.
